Lips

Lip liner / full lips can be applied to correct uneven lips, give a fuller appearance and more definition to your lips.

As we get older our lipstick bleeds into the creases. Permanent lip liner / full lips will prevent this from happening and minimize the appearance of wrinkles.

You will choose the colour of your lip lips, depending on your skin tone and your normal lipstick colour that you normally wear.
This can be as natural appearing as cosmetic lipstick, depending on what you as a client want.

Lips are also done with the AMIEA machine - creating a soft , natural colour on the lips.

FAQ

1How long does it take?

Lips take longer than any of the other sessions. The first session will take minimum 2.5 hours - 3 hours including the time for the consultation and completion of client card.

Touch up will take 2 - 2.5 hours.

2How long does it take to heal?

You can return to your normal daily activities straight after your session. Lip colour will appear darker after the procedure and lips will be swollen.

Healing time for the lips are a bit longer, 5 days more or less

3Is a touch up necessary?

Yes! The best way that I can explain it - “Permanent make-up is similar to painting a wall. After the first layer of paint has dried , the colour is still uneven and patchy, after a second coat, the colour and consistency is even and the colour has build up. It is the same with permanent make-up.

The lip area is a different type of skin, and more colour lost will occur with the lips.

Certain areas may not pick up during the first session. During the touch up procedure we build the colour.

4Is it painful?

We use very good local anesthetic. We try and make the experience as comfortable as possible for the client.

5How long does it last?

Lips could last anything from 4 - 5 years.

6Prior to procedure?

Avoid sun and sunbeds. Clients may bring lipstick colours that they like to wear with on the day.

If you are prone to cold sores / fever blisters - you are not a candidate for Permanent Lips.

If you are not prone to cold sores or ever had chicken pox, we do recommend clients to take Cyclivex 400mg for 2 days before the treatment, and ONE week after the procedure.

This is to prevent the outbreak of cold sores. This is a prescription medicine, and you need to get a script from your doctor. It is an antiviral antibiotic. Rather safe than sorry!

7After the procedure?

After care with instructions will be explained to the client on the day of the procedure.

No water over the treated area for 72 hours.

We do not recommend exercising for 3 days, if it involves excessive sweating - hygiene purposes. For the first few days we recommend drinking liquids with a straw - hygiene purposes.

8Who is not suitable for Permanent Eyeliner?
  • If you are using Accutane
  • If you are prone to fever blisters and cold sores
  • If you are a diabetic , type 1
  • Certain types of medication that causes the skin to thin out, or thins the blood.
  • If you had Botox / Fillers done in the area in the last 10 days
  • If you are pregnant , you will have to get a written consent from your doctor - we use local anesthetics.
